Stock Pickers Digest, in its July, 2014, issue, refreshes its buy of Enerflex Ltd., recently $19.74. Stock Pickers said buy six times from June, 2011, to June, 2014, at prices ranging from $12.12 to $17.15. Assuming an investment of $1,000 for each of the six buys, the $6,000 position would now be worth $8,804. Enerflex rents and sells equipment and services for natural gas production. The company intends to acquire two businesses owned by privately held Axip Energy Services LP for $430-million (U.S.) in cash. The acquisition consists of an international contract compression and processing subsidiary, and a division that provides aftermarket services. The agreement includes operations in Mexico, South America, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. The assets include a 448-unit compression fleet, which operates mostly under long-term contracts. This equipment is 90 per cent utilized and has an average age of just 5.5 years. The newsletter says the purchase looks like a great fit for Enerflex. It expands the company product offerings and international reach. The acquisition should also immediately add to Enerflex's per-share earnings. The stock remains a buy.
