The Toronto Stock Exchange reports that Brookfield Asset Management Inc. will list cumulative Class A preference shares, Series 46, at 5:01 p.m. on Nov. 17, 2016, for trading at the open on Nov. 18, 2016. According to the TSX, the Series 46 shares will trade under the symbol BAM.PF.I and Cusip No. 112585 45 0.

As stated in the company's prospectus supplement dated Nov. 14, 2016, Brookfield Asset will issue 12 million Series 46 shares at $25 per share in a public offering. It expects to close the offering before the open on Nov. 18, 2016. According to the TSX, the company will pay quarterly distributions on the shares on the last day of March, June, September and December in each year, at an annual dividend rate of $1.20 per Series 46 share. The initial dividend payment of 43.73 cents per Series 46 share will be payable on March 31, 2017.

The TSX reports that the Series 46 shares will be redeemable on March 31, 2022, and on March 31 every five years thereafter. The Series 46 shareholders also have the option to convert the shares into cumulative Class A preference shares, Series 47, on March 31, 2022, and on March 31 every five years thereafter.
