Brookfield Asset Management Inc. will list and post for trading 1,533,133 Series 25 shares at the open on July 4, 2016, under the symbol BAM.PR.S and Cusip No. 112585 73 2, according to the Toronto Stock Exchange. The TSX reports the listing is in anticipation of the company's pending conversion of 1,533,133 cumulative Class A preference shares, Series 24, into cumulative Class A preference shares, Series 25. The conversion will be on a one-for-one basis and will be effective on June 30, 2016.

According to the TSX, holders of the Series 25 shares will be entitled to receive floating-rate cumulative preferential cash dividends, as and when declared by the board, payable quarterly, on the last business day of each quarterly floating-rate period starting Sept. 30, 2016, in an amount per share determined by multiplying the applicable floating quarterly dividend rate by $25. The TSX reports the actual quarterly dividend rate for the period from July 1, 2016, to Sept. 30, 2016, will be 0.71861 per cent (or 2.851 per cent on an annualized basis). The dividend, if declared, will be 17.96525 cents per Series 25 share and will be payable on Sept. 30, 2016.

The TSX reports that starting June 30, 2021, the company may redeem the Series 25 shares. Holders of the Series 25 shares will also have the right to convert their Series 25 shares into Series 24 shares.
