SHERRITT TO RELEASE SECOND QUARTER 2011 FINANCIAL RESULTS

Sherritt International Corp. is scheduled to release its second quarter 2011 earnings results on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, before markets open. The release will be followed by an analyst and investor conference call at 2 p.m. (Eastern Time).

Scheduled speakers on the conference call will include Ian W. Delaney, chairman and chief executive officer, and David Pathe, senior vice-president, finance, and chief financial officer.
