Mr. Nathan Thooft reports
MANULIFE ASSET MANAGEMENT NAMES JAMIE ROBERTSON TO PORTFOLIO SOLUTIONS GROUP, OVERSEEING CANADIAN ASSET ALLOCATION
Manulife Financial Corp.'s Manulife Asset Management has named James Robertson as a senior portfolio manager to its portfolio solutions group (PSG), subject to regulatory approval. Mr. Robertson is based in Toronto and reports to Nathan Thooft, co-head of PSG for North America. PSG oversees all the multiasset-class strategies for Manulife Asset Management globally.
Mr. Robertson will be responsible for overseeing Manulife Asset Management's Canadian asset allocation franchise, including portfolio management, research and development, and supporting product development, business development and trading.

Jamie leads the PSG team in Toronto and will work closely with the other members of PSG in the United States and Asia."
Most recently, Mr. Robertson was chief investment officer with McLean and Partners in Calgary, where he was responsible for driving and improving the investment performance of multiasset-class portfolios at one of Canada's largest private wealth management companies, with assets of more than $1-billion. Prior to that, he served as vice-president, propriety investments (equities), at Manulife Financial, where he helped increase equity holdings to more than $800-million with exposures in all major international markets.
Mr. Robertson earned an MBA from Concordia University, Montreal, and holds the Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designation from the Canadian Securities Institute.
