Ximen Mining begins engineering mine design at Kenville

2026-05-19 21:43 ET - News Release

Mr. Christopher Anderson reports

XIMEN MINING CORP ENGINEERED MINE DESIGN INITIATED FOR KENVILLE UNDERGROUND PROJECT

Ximen Mining Corp. has provided the following update on its Kenville mine project, located in the historic Nelson mining camp in southeastern British Columbia.

The company has initiated engineering work on detailed mine design drawings for the planned underground development. As required by the permit, the underground mine design will include drawings, calculations, specifications and descriptions of the geometry of all existing and proposed excavations, the geologic, hydrogeologic and geotechnical conditions affecting the mine, and excavation design and ground support design. Engineered designs are required to be submitted to the Ministry of Energy and Critical Minerals on commencement of operations.

In addition to the excavation designs, closure plans for the new Venango, 257 and 275 portals, and associated detailed cost estimates are also required, and have already been submitted to the Ministry of Energy and Critical Minerals

This design work is another step forward for the Kenville mine project as the company advances toward construction of the new underground decline. The new decline will provide access to multiple gold-bearing quartz veins that were intersected in surface drill holes west and south of the historic Kenville gold mine.

Dr. Mathew Ball, PGeo, vice-president of exploration for Ximen Mining and a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101, reviewed and approved the technical information contained in this news release.
