The Globe and Mail reports in its Saturday edition that after Raymond James raised its oil price deck to a "more optimistic" set of assumptions, analysts Chris Cox and Jeremy McCrea made rating changes to stocks in their coverage universe. The Globe's David Leeder writes that Mr. Cox and Mr. McCrea say, "We have upwardly revised our ratings for a number of oil-weighted producers, which see a considerable improvement in their respective outlooks under the revised commodity price assumptions." The Raymond James stockpickers boosted Yangarra Resources (92 cents) to "outperform" from "market perform." They target the shares at $1.15, up from 80 cents. Analysts on average target the shares at 89 cents. The Globe reported on Feb. 8 that Mr. McCrea said he saw much to like in Yangarra. Still, he cut his rating to "outperform" from "strong buy." He targeted the shares at $2.50. The shares could then be had for 98 cents. The Globe reported on March 10 that Mr. McCrea cut Yangarra to "market perform," while maintaining his $2.50 share target. The shares could then be had for 47.5 cents. The Globe reported on March 12 that National Bank lowered Yangarra to "sector perform" from "outperform." It was then worth 38.5 cents.
