New York spot gold rose $98.30 Friday, ending the week at $5,093.50. The TSX Venture Exchange rose 25.2 points to 1,042.56 while the TSX gold index added 11.84 points to 1,014.89. Canadian-listed gold miners moved higher today. Starcore International Mines Ltd. (SAM) was one, as it leapt 15 cents to $1.09 on 2.57 million shares. Another was Aya Gold & Silver Inc. (AYA), which rose $1.67 to $24.84 on 2.16 million shares. Barrick Mining Corp. (ABX), on the other hand, fell 96 cents to $65.60 on 16.03 million shares.

(ELD) slumped $6.35 to $58.84 on 5.59 million shares as it delivered "strong" 2025 operational results and provided its 2026 guidance and a three-year outlook targeting 40-per-cent gold production growth, as well as a construction update for the Skouries mine in Greece. Veteran investors experienced at reading promotional tea leaves furrowed a brow as they began skimming from the bottom of the list.
