New York spot gold fell $7.70 to $4,189.60 on Monday. The TSX Venture Exchange fell 14.75 points to 925.01 while the TSX gold index dropped 15.77 points to 758.41. West Red Lake Gold Mines Ltd. (WRLG) helped lead the retreat, as it dropped six cents to 91 cents on 4.56 million shares. Lundin Gold Inc. (LUG), on the other hand, added $1.45 to $109.61 on 918,000 shares, while Oceanagold Corp. (OGC) added 37 cents to $35.92 on 2.27 million shares.
Yikes! New Found Gold Corp. (NFG) slid 39 cents to $3.92 on 28.3 million shares.
