The critical and specialty minerals stocks box score was a positive 96-85-128 on Wednesday as the TSX Venture Exchange fell two points to 956. Fortune Minerals Ltd. (FT), a 25-center in spring when it last touted its Nico cobalt, bismuth, copper and gold project in the Northwest Territories, lost one cent to 14 cents on 833,000 shares on another day of silence today.

Terry Lynch's Power Metallic Mines Inc. (PNPN) slid 21 cents to $1.31 on 7.42 million shares Tuesday on word of a maiden high-grade resource estimate for the Lion zone, part of an updated resource for its Nisk project in the James Bay district of Quebec. Lion hosts 2.88 million open-pittable tonnes, nearly all of them indicated, grading 1.45 per cent copper, 0.08 per cent nickel and 0.004 per cent cobalt, along with modest amounts of precious metals. Another 1.86 million tonnes lie deeper underground -- most of those indicated as well -- grading 2.1 per cent copper, 0.14 per cent nickel and 0.007 per cent cobalt, again with some precious metals present.
