The critical and specialty minerals stocks box score was a dreary 115-63-132 on Wednesday as the TSX Venture Exchange soared 27 points to 972. Nikolaos Cacos's Blue Sky Uranium Corp. (BSK), unchanged at 4.5 cents on 624,000 shares, has begun a new exploration program at the Amarillo Grande uranium-vanadium project in Argentina. The work is being financed by its co-venturer, Abatare Spain SLU, which can earn an 80-per-cent interest by financing up to $160-million (U.S.) in development costs to commercial production.
The program will include a maiden 500-metre drill program on the Cuatro target and surface exploration along five kilometres of a corridor extending from the Ivana deposit, through the Ivana Gateway target and onward to the Ivana Central target. The work will include geophysical surveying, a radon gas survey and lead-isotope geochemical sampling. Further, there will be regional greenfield exploration at some western targets.
