The critical and specialty minerals stocks box score on Monday was a mediocre 87-85-138 as the TSX Venture Exchange fell six points to 964. Energy Fuels Inc. (EFR) lost 43 cents to $20.51 on 1.66 million shares. The company said last week that its acquisition of Australia-based Australian Strategic Metals Ltd. edged forward, with that company's shareholders "overwhelmingly voting in favour" of the transaction. The two companies revealed their merger in January, a $300-million (U.S.) arrangement that has Australian's shareholders getting cash and Energy Fuels shares -- enough to give them nearly 6 per cent of the expanded Energy Fuels.

Mike Taylor's Slam Exploration Ltd. (SXL) rose one-half cent to 7.5 cents on 142,000 shares. The company has assays from the massive sulphide zone that the company intersected back in June at its Goodwin copper project in northeastern New Brunswick. The 26.1-metre near-surface zone of massive sulphide mineralization shrank somewhat, but the lower 24.6 metres of the interval graded 0.43 per cent nickel, 0.33 per cent copper and 0.11 per cent cobalt.
