The critical and specialty minerals box score for Tuesday was a lacklustre 80-109-121 as the TSX Venture Exchange added six points to 1,002. Avalon Advanced Materials Inc. (AVL), silent for a week but a busy trader nevertheless, was unchanged today at 6.5 cents on 2.09 million shares. First Atlantic Nickel & Cobalt Corp. (FAN), also silent, fell two cents to 87 cents on 1.7 million shares today.

Quinn Field-Dyte's Vault Strategic Mining Corp. (KNOX) slid seven cents to 53 cents on 258,000 shares. Vault, called Margaret Lake Diamonds Inc. until January, says -- note the hedge -- that "planning has commenced for its maiden exploration program" on the War Bond tungsten project, which includes the old War Bond, Tactite and Thursday tungsten mines in Nevada. The proposed plan calls for mapping, verification, sampling and measuring, which would lead to development of high-priority drill targets. A crew is expected at the site next week.
