The critical and specialty minerals stocks box score was a rousing 111-66-133 on Wednesday as the TSX Venture Exchange added eight points to 947. Jonathan Comerford and Dermot Desmond's Mountain Province Diamonds Inc. (MPVD) was unchanged today at 5.5 cents on 81,000 shares.
Yesterday, after the close, was to have been when Mountain Province was to have rolled out its annual report for 2025, but instead came word from Mr. Comerford, chairman and interim chief executive officer, that the company's auditors are still beavering away on the books. Worry not: He says that the company will get the report in your hands before the end-of-month deadline -- barely -- with a release after hours on March 31. Greg Reimer's Surge Battery Metals Inc. (NILI) rose three cents to 55 cents on 2.2 million shares. The company says that it and its co-venturer, Australia-based Evolution Mining Ltd., have hired contractors to update the resource estimate for their Nevada North lithium project in northeastern Nevada. Look for the estimate to be complete by late next month, says Mr. Reimer, president and CEO, noting that the primary objective of the update is the conversion of a significant portion of the currently inferred resource to higher classifications. The new estimate, he blathers, "will serve as the foundational geological baseline for the continuing prefeasibility study" for the project.
