The critical and specialty minerals box score for Tuesday was a cheerful 118-52-140 as the TSX Venture Exchange rose 26 points to 1,090. Chris Doornbos's E3 Lithium Ltd. (ETL) lost one cent to $1.14 on 436,000 shares. The company drilled two wells late last year for its demonstration facility at the Clearwater lithium project in central Alberta. The two adjacent wells, 200 metres apart, targeted the Leduc reservoir about 2,500 metres below surface. The two wells are now being readied, and a downhole brine pump is being installed. Surface equipment will follow shortly, as E3 Lithium gets set to test the reservoir and compile data.
The company expects to have the demonstration facility operational next month. The data collected from this second phase will allow the company to complete front-end engineering and design work for a coming feasibility study of the Clearwater project, says Mr. Doornbos, chairman, president and chief executive officer. A third phase will follow, with stages of the phase -- chapter and verse as it were -- expected to be completed through the later spring and summer.
