The critical and specialty minerals stocks box score on Monday was a positive 97-81-132 as the TSX Venture Exchange rose eight points to 1,051. Nikolaos Cacos's Argentina Lithium & Energy Corp. (LIT) closed unchanged at 14.5 cents on 186,000 shares. The company revealed a maiden resource estimate for its Rincon West project in northern Argentina last fall, and now it is plotting its next steps on the project.

The technical report covering the estimate identified two objectives for further work, including more pump testing to evaluate the hydraulic characteristics of the brine host units in the western area, as well as infill drilling to upgrade the current estimate. The wells needed for the pump testing are now permitted and that drilling is expected to start as soon as April -- once financing is in place and a drill rig has been hired, that is. The infill drilling, however, is still subject to various permitting requirements, which the company says will be "systematically addressed this year."
