The critical and specialty minerals stocks box score on Monday was an upbeat 130-79-101 as the TSX Venture Exchange rose 22 points to 1,038. F3 Uranium Corp. (FUU) did well and was busy in the market, adding two cents to 21 cents on 3.85 million shares as drilling rolls along at its Broach Lake uranium project in Northern Saskatchewan.

Gary Thompson's Brixton Metals Corp. (BBB) added one cent to 11.5 cents on 3.54 million shares Friday on word that it has chip sampled rock grading up to 2.16 per cent copper in the Cirque East area of its Thorn project in northwestern British Columbia. Grab samples from the 95th South target also did well, with one grading 1.47 per cent copper, 3.56 per cent lead and 1.97 per cent zinc along with 642 grams of silver per tonne.

Mr. Thompson, chairman and chief executive officer, was duly pleased: "The definition of new exploration targets through geochemical sampling with boots on the ground has been an effective approach at the Thorn project as we continue to identify new areas of mineralization," he cheered -- seemingly suggesting that it might somehow be possible to have crews collect samples without tromping across the property.
