The critical and specialty minerals box score for Tuesday was a weak 80-110-120 as the TSX Venture Exchange rose seven points to 1,093. Lewis Black's Almonty Industries Inc. (AII) jumped $1.34 to $13.05 on 2.08 million shares as Mr. Black, chairman and chief executive officer, and the company's "new global leadership" self-applauded the start of mining last month at Sangdong, its tungsten mine in South Korea.

Bart Jaworski's Group Eleven Resources Corp. (ZNG) was dressed to the nines Monday, leaping 21 cents to 91 cents on 1.02 million shares on word that it has drilled a 29.9-metre intercept grading 9.7 per cent zinc, 5.5 per cent lead, 0.67 per cent copper and 552 grams of silver per tonne. The hit came at depth in one of nine new holes at its Ballywire discovery, on the PG West project in Ireland. The headline hole included a 3.75-metre interval with 23.47 per cent zinc, and an 8.45-metre interval that ran 2.21 per cent copper and 0.18 per cent antimony, along with 1,776 grams of silver per tonne.
