The critical and specialty minerals stocks box score for Thursday was a positive 92-75-143 as the TSX Venture
Exchange added 11 points to 957. Ian Fraser's Fathom Nickel Inc. (FNI) lost one-half cent to 2.5 cents on 2.76 million shares. The company cheers that it will have a road connection to its Gochager Lake project this winter. Fathom has been granted access to the access road running to the Roy-Lloyd mine, currently on care and maintenance, and from there it will run an access onward to its project.
Mr. Fraser, chief executive officer and vice-president of exploration, cheered that the winter trail to the Gochager Lake project "is an important milestone for the company," one that will provide synergies that will significantly reduce the company's all-in cost of exploration. Being able to access the Roy-Lloyd property from Highway 102, and then using ice roads and old overland trails from there, "will eliminate dependency on helicopter and dramatically reduce winter fixed-wing air support," Mr. Fraser enthused.
