The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Wednesday was a weak 68-115-127 as the TSX Venture
Exchange lost another three points to 947. Jean-Raymond Boulle and Ewan Mason's Star Diamond Corp. (DIAM) was unchanged at three cents on 205,000 shares. The company's stock has been edging lower of late in the absence of news -- the last bit of that came six weeks ago when Star hired consultants to complete a prefeasibility study by this time next year. Star may not face the same degree of tax-loss selling this year as it previously did, as 163 million shares traded this year at an average of 3.6 cents.
Mark Brennan's Cerrado Gold Inc. (CERT), up three cents to $1.39 on 926,000 shares, offered an update -- almost an afterthought -- about its Mont Sorcier iron project near Chibougamau in north-central Quebec. (Bullet six of six in the lead summary and a first mention nearly 900 words into the update puts the project deep into afterthought territory.)
