The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Wednesday was a positive 81-71-158 as the TSX Venture Exchange fell one point to 804. Mike Garbutt's Clean Air Metals Inc. (AIR), which sees a trading frenzy about once every new moon yet never strays far from the five-cent mark, added one-half cent to five cents on 2.11 million shares Tuesday. This burst of trading followed word that the company will test an interpreted downplunge extension of the Escape deposit, on its Thunder Bay North (TBN) critical minerals project in Northwestern Ontario.

A 900-metre hole targeting one of three "newly identified ballroom-type coincident magnetic and conductivity anomalies" will start imminently, while the rest of the program is "designed to be scalable depending on results." In other words, it can be continued or killed at the drop of a hat. (Ahh, you had to ask: These ballroom-type anomalies -- big blobs -- purportedly point to structurally controlled higher-grade areas of sulphide ore bulging into the footwall rock.)
