The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Wednesday was a ho-hum 75-83-152 as the TSX Venture Exchange fell one point to 550. Glenn Kasner's RJK Explorations Ltd. (RJX) closed unchanged at four cents on 32,000 shares. RJK is tweaking its board of directors and advisers. That and a new exploration agreement with the locals suggests another promotional push is slated for the company's diamond exploration project in Northeastern Ontario. The project is touted as the hunt for the source of the 800-carat Nipissing diamond -- a yellow gem that captivated Tiffany & Co. more than a hundred years ago.

The first shoe to drop was an exploration agreement with Timiskaming First Nation (TFN). The deal had been jawed about since 2019, but it was not settled until early this month. The area being explored by RJK is one where the aboriginals hold both rights and title, so getting them on board was important, should anything come of the hunt. How important is unclear: All that Mr. Kasner, RJK's president and chief executive officer, says is that the deal covers operational areas of interest within the traditional territory of the TFN.
