The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score on Thursday was a mediocre 76-86-148 as the TSX Venture Exchange added one point to 551. Nican Ltd. (NICN) had its busiest day since mid-October, losing one-half cent to 4.5 cents on 1.5 million shares. That October day came two days before Nican said it had started drilling at its Wine nickel property in Manitoba, so keep your ear to the ground.

(CRI), unchanged at 8.5 cents on 37,000 shares, is planning an energetic 2024 exploration program on its specialty minerals projects in Newfoundland and Labrador. Meanwhile, Churchill, which was called Churchill Diamonds before it went public in mid-2021, is putting more miles between it and its diamond properties in Ontario and Nunavut, which had once been its raison d'etre.
