The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Monday was a weak 73-109-128 as the TSX Venture Exchange lost one point to 518. Grenville Thomas and Ken Armstrong's adaptable-but-struggling mineral explorer, North Arrow Minerals Inc. (NAR), lost another one-half cent to three cents on 100,000 shares.
The slow-motion transformation of Peter Wilson's old St. Anthony Gold Corp. into a battery metals explorer lurched forward late last week. The company, renamed Spark Energy Minerals Inc. (EMIN) early this year, said late Friday that it has closed its acquisition of Bulletproof Resources Corp. for $660,000. Bulletproof held properties prospective for lithium exploration in Brazil.
Investors were unenthused, as Spark fizzled two cents lower today, closing at 14 cents on 6,000 shares. Remember that Spark paid in stock -- 5.5 million shares -- and each share is accompanied by a warrant exercisable at 15 cents over the next three years. Therefore, the modest payment gives Bulletproof's shareholders over 20 per cent of Spark's stock -- and even more should those warrants get exercised.
