Odlum Brown Ltd. says that it owes nothing to former executive Warren Beach, who is suing for wrongful dismissal. According to Odlum Brown, Mr. Brown's dismissal followed his poor performance on the job, which included being arrogant and overbearing in meetings. Among other things, Mr. Beach "was condescending and dismissive to many employees ... causing concern and frustration," Odlum Brown says.

The statements from the company come in response to a lawsuit that Mr. Beach, 59, filed in the Supreme Court of British Columbia on Feb. 4, 2026. He complained that the company fired him from his $1.4-million-per-year job "without cause and without notice." He said that he had been unable to find a comparable job since and sought court-ordered damages.

For its part, Odlum Brown says that it owes Mr. Beach nothing. In a response filed on Feb. 26, 2026, the firm says that Mr. Beach, who was the chief strategy and business development officer, was fired on Nov. 14, 2025. While the firm fired him on a "without cause basis," it says that there were reasons for his dismissal.
