American Salars appoints Lavery as QP

2024-02-29 20:12 ET - News Release

Mr. Michael Dake reports

AMERICAN SALARS APPOINTS MITCHELL E. LAVERY AS QUALIFIED PERSON FOR QUEBEC LITHIUM EXPLORATION

American Salars Lithium Inc. has appointed Mitchell E. Lavery, PGeo, as the company's qualified person (QP) within the meaning of National Instrument 43-101 -- Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects. Mr. Lavery will be the QP for the company's Quebec mineral properties.

Mitchell E. Lavery is a mining exploration professional with over 42 years of experience in all aspects of mineral exploration around the world from grass roots to ore deposit delineation to developing and managing a mine. He has been involved in the discovery of and/or development of several mineral deposits in Canada. His experience covers gold, silver, uranium, nickel, cobalt, base metals and lithium. Mr. Lavery is a licensed professional geologist in the province of Quebec (No. 181) and brings both strong technical and management skills to the company and has served as a senior officer and/or director on other public and private companies and is a lifetime member of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.

The company's Quebec lithium portfolio consists of 27 mineral claims in four separate claim blocks. These claims cover approximately 1,485 hectares and host multiple historic lithium sample results and up to 340 parts per million Li in a grab sample.

One claim block is located 30 kilometres to the south of Patriot Battery Metals' Corvette property and contain lithium samples from previous historic work programs.

The other claims covering a historic 55 ppm lithium assay reported as a tonalite from sample 2012056707. This ground is approximately 60 km south of Australian-listed Winsome Resources.

The claims covering several historic anomalous lithium values on the Gaspe Peninsula that were obtained during exploration of rare-earth occurrences. Values range from southeastern most sample No. 1989023054 location which returned 30 ppm Li from a gneiss to the northwestern most sample location of sample 1989031832 returning 187 ppm Li described as pyroxenite, over a distance of three km in between the two samples, with some anomalous lithium values over the distance.

Another claim that is in the Gaspe Peninsula covers a historic 313 ppm Li sample value in sample 1989032542. Historic anomalous lithium values are significant since exploration was conducted for other minerals and not focused on lithium.

Additionally, the company announces the appointment of Nick Horsley to its advisory board as an M&A (mergers and acquisitions) and business development adviser. These appointments are a key aspect of American Salars portfolio expansion and exploration of its lithium projects. Mr. Horsley has over 18 years of capital markets experience focused on finance, investor relations, marketing, management, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Horsley has been a prospecting since 2008 and has a keen understanding of researching, exploration and the tendering process. Mr. Horsley has served as a director and a consultant to several public and private companies and has worked in a variety of industries including mining, telecommunications, consumer goods, oil and gas, and technology.

The company has retained Aktiencheck.de AG of Bahnhofstrase 6 56470 Bad Marienberg Deutschland, e-mail: stefan.lindam@aktiencheck.de to assist with an initial European marketing awareness program to commence on March 4, 2024, at a cost of 25,000 euros. The principal of Aktiencheck.de AG is Mr. Lindam of Marienberg, Germany. The company deals at arm's length with Aktiencheck.de AG. As of the date hereof, to the company's knowledge, Aktiencheck.de AG (including its directors and officers) does not own any securities of the company and has an arm's-length relationship with the company. The company will not issue any securities to Aktiencheck.de AG as compensation for its marketing services.
