Lundin refreshes buy of Tasman Metals

2015-07-13 21:53 ET - In the News

Brien Lundin, in the July, 2015, edition of the Gold Newsletter, refreshes his buy of Tasman Metals Ltd., recently 64 cents. Mr. Lundin first said buy in March, 2010, at 59 cents. He then said take some profits -- perhaps sell half -- in May, 2010, at $1.28. Assuming a $1,000 investment for the buy at 59 cents, selling half at $1.28 yielded a profit of $542. Mr. Lundin said buy six more times between July, 2010, and February, 2015, at prices ranging from 50 cents to $3.94. Assuming an investment of $1,000 for each of the six new buys, and taking into account the $500 investment left after the half sale, the $6,500 position is now worth $4,261. Tasman has acquired two chromite projects in Finland, Akanvaara and Koitelainen, from Kipu Metals Corp. for $45,529. The two projects lie 75 kilometres apart, and are part of an 11,400-hectare land package. Mr. Lundin notes that the acquisition is an arm's-length deal, as Tasman's president and CEO, Mark Saxon, and director Michael Hudson are both directors of Kipu. The editor is pleased with the deal because it broadens Tasman's rare earths portfolio in Scandinavia. Tasman continues to look like a good bet on Euro-centric commodities exploration, he concludes, and remains a buy.
