The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Oct. 20, edition that Total Energy Services insider have been buying of late. The Globe's regular guest columnist Ted Dixon writes in the Who Is Buying and Selling column that from Aug. 14 to Oct. 4, five insiders bought a total of 17,595 common shares in the public market at an average price of $9.50. One of the buyers was chief executive officer Daniel Halyk, who acquired 6,095 shares at an average price of $9.88. Mr. Dixon says he also spotted insiders buying as the stock tested its 200-day moving average this month. The Globe reported on Nov. 16, 2022, that Canaccord Genuity rated Total Energy "buy," when it was worth $8.90. The Globe reported on March 30, 2023, that Canaccord energy analysts rated Total Energy "buy." It was then worth $8.19. The Globe reported on July 7, 2023, that ATB Capital Markets analyst Tim Monachello had reaffirmed his "outperform" recommendation and $18 share target for Total Energy. The shares were then going for $8.88.
