The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday, Feb. 15, edition that BMO Nesbitt Burns analyst Devin Dodge has reiterated his "outperform" recommendation for Toromont Industries. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Dodge boosted his share target by $6 to $130. Analysts on average target the shares at $127.87. Mr. Dodge says in a note: "We believe Toromont Industries has multiple levers available to grow earnings through our forecast period that should more than offset the expected normalization of equipment markups. Moreover, the pick-up in construction equipment bookings bodes well for activity levels and customer sentiment in 2024." The Globe reported on Nov. 10 that Mr. Dodge downgraded Toromont Industries to "market perform" from "outperform." The shares were then going for $102.58. The Globe reported on Nov. 2 that National Bank analyst Maxim Sytchev kept his "outperform" call on Toromont Industries intact. It was then worth $108.03. The Globe reported on Jan. 24 that Scotia Capital analyst Michael Doumet had cut Toromont Industries to "sector perform" from "sector outperform." The shares were then going for $115.96.
