The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, Nov. 29, edition that Echelon Partners analyst Rob Goff has reaffirmed his "speculative buy" recommendation for Think Research. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Goff gave his share target a 25-cent trim to 55 cents. Analysts on average target the shares at 55 cents. The Globe says Mr. Goff believes Think Research's momentum hit "a snag" with its "disappointing" third quarter, but he thinks its core software-as-a-service segment remains strong and is "ready for heavy lifting." On Monday Think reported quarterly revenue of $19.2-million, missing both Mr. Goff's $22-million estimate and the consensus projection of $22.1-million. An earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization loss of $1.5-million also fell short of expectations. Mr. Goff says in a note: "We expected a relatively soft Q323 but were surprised with the magnitude of underperformance at BioPharma. ... The company is navigating pressure from multiple angles where investors are likely to await evidence of improved revenue momentum and a return to EBITDA positive operations."
