Mr. Richard Goldsmith reports
THUNDERBIRD ENTERTAINMENT AWARDS MOOSE TOYS AS GLOBAL MASTER TOY PARTNER FOR JAM MEDIA'S BEDDYBYES
Thunderbird Distribution and Thunderbird Brands, the distribution and consumer product arms of Thunderbird Entertainment Group Inc., have appointed Moose Toys as global master toy partner for Thunderbird acquisition BeddyByes, produced by Jam Media in Dublin, Ireland. Under the licensing
agreement, Moose Toys will produce a multicategory preschool toy line including figures, plush, wood toys, playsets, vehicles, role play, musical toy instruments and more. The popular animated series airs on CBeebies and other international platforms. BeddyByes will premiere on Disney+ and Disney Jr. in the United States this year.
BeddyByes is an animated series that supports healthy sleeping habits for preschoolers. Each episode follows a familiar daily routine that is easy for young children to follow (playtime, mealtime, bathtime and bedtime) and a calming journey to sleep. BeddyByes features characters MeMo and BaBa, soothing music, and cozy visuals that dim as the story unfolds.
"We are looking forward to having Moose Toys, one of the leading toy innovators in the world, as a strategic partner for this one-of-a-kind series," said Thunderbird president of global distribution and consumer products, Richard Goldsmith. "We believe that BeddyByes is uniquely positioned for licensing across multiple categories as it taps into an incredible opportunity to build a sleep time brand for parents and young children. With a reputation for creating innovative and widely successful toys, Moose Toys will be a key partner in establishing BeddyByes as a beloved global brand."
"We're delighted to partner with Moose Toys to bring BeddyByes into the lives of preschoolers in new ways," said John Rice, chief executive officer of Jam Media. "Our vision for the series has always been to combine gentle storytelling and engaging characters with meaningful support for families around bedtime. Seeing MeMo, BaBa and friends come to life as toys will help extend those comforting routines beyond the screen."
The first range of products with Moose Toys is expected to launch in the United Kingdom in fall 2026, with toys on retail shelves in the United States in spring 2027, following the beginning of the series rollout in early 2026 on Disney+ and Disney Jr. Subsequent rollout to Moose's global markets will follow as the series launches in additional countries.
"Moose is a category leader in licensed preschool toys. Our collaboration with Thunderbird and Jam Media on a new line of BeddyByes toys is going to make dreams come true for all fans -- kids and their parents -- of the animated series," said Hollie Holmes, vice-president of global licensing, Moose Toys. "The one-of-a-kind toy line will lend an interactive assist to kids and their parents as they establish foundational daily routines and provide positive association and reinforcement along the way. In addition to traditional play pattern toys, many others are designed to work hand in hand with the series to help families build joyful, consistent daily routines."
Thunderbird Distribution acquired global media (excluding the U.K., Ireland and Finland, and certain rights in Denmark and Sweden) and global consumer products rights to BeddyByes in 2024. The CG-animated preschool series is produced by Ireland's Jam Media and is an original production for BBC Children's and Education. BeddyByes made its debut on BBC iPlayer and CBeebies in May and June, 2025, respectively. The series is also available on RTE Player (Ireland) and on Nordic Pubcaster DR (Denmark), with plans for release on YLE (Finland) in early 2026. It will also air on SVT (Sweden) in fall 2026.
BeddyByes will be represented at the following events: Spielwarenmesse, taking place from Jan. 27 to Jan. 31, 2026, in Nuremberg, Germany; North American International Toy Fair, taking place from Feb. 14 to Feb. 17, 2026, in New York City; Licensing Expo 2026, taking place from May 19 to May 21, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nev.; and Brand Licensing Europe 2026, taking place Oct. 6 to Oct. 8, 2026, in London, U.K.
