SPECTRA PRODUCTS INC. REPORTS APPOINTMENT OF NEW DIRECTOR

Spectra Products Inc. has appointed John Dynes as an independent director of the company, subject to regulatory consent. Mr. Dynes's appointment is effective immediately and expands the board to four directors.

Mr. Dynes has two decades of experience in capital markets and consulting. Mr. Dynes is currently the president of Stone Road Advisory, and also works with Cascadia Strategy Consulting Partners and Cascadia Equity Partners. Previously, Mr. Dynes was a portfolio manager at JC Clark, a Toronto-based investment management firm. Mr. Dynes currently sits on the board of governors for Centennial College and the board of directors for Spark Centre. Mr. Dynes is a CFA and CMT charterholder, and has completed the Rotman directors education program at the Institute of Corporate Directors.
