SEKUR PRIVATE DATA LTD. LAUNCHES SEKUR SWISS HOSTED COMMUNICATIONS SUITE IN GERMAN

Sekur Private Data Ltd. plans to launch its Swiss-hosted communications suite Sekur in German language and launch a digital marketing campaign in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) by the end of Q4 2023.

The DACH region in Europe comprises the countries of Germany (D), Austria (A) and Switzerland (CH). In 2022, the gross domestic product (GDP) of all DACH countries amounted to approximately $5.35-trillion (U.S.). Just under 77 per cent of this was from Germany, while 15 per cent came from Switzerland and 9 per cent from Austria. In comparison with population distribution across the region, Switzerland's GDP per capita was much higher than the other two countries.

Germany's economy is the largest in Europe with the majority of the country's GDP coming from its service sector. The country's service sector encompasses tourism, financial services, real estate and other industries. This reflects Germany's standing as a central financial and political pillar of the European Union, and its position as a popular tourist destination.

Grouping the DACH countries

The DACH countries are closely associated both geographically and culturally, primarily through shared use of the German language and the region hosts over 100 million inhabitants. The DACH countries enjoy a high standard of living, which is reflected in a large GDP per capita in each country.

Sekur is registering an increase in searches on its website coming from Germany, representing one of the top five countries searching for Sekur. Sekur already has customers in Germany paying in the local euro currency and will translate all its solutions SekurMail, SekurVPN and SekurMessenger. The solutions already offer Sekur in the euro denomination and already has consumers buying Sekur out of Germany and Switzerland, in their respective currencies.

According to this article, there has been a recent surge in cyberattacks targeting German websites and according to this article, the major German IT provider Bitmarck was also hacked, knocking health insurance offline for millions of patients. There are numerous examples and reports of recent hikes in cyberattacks, targeting small businesses and government agencies and their service providers. Sekur already serves consumer clients in Germany and Switzerland and plans to launch its SMB solutions in Q1 2024 with German language support for businesses in the DACH region.

Since the company has added SekurVPN and customized "a la carte" bundles for consumers and businesses, approximately 50 per cent of all customers have been buying bundles with over 50 per cent of customers purchasing SekurVPN in the bundle or on its own.

On April 7, 2023, the company launched SekurVPN, its privacy VPN solution available through the Sekur website, and began commercial sales of its highly anticipated privacy and security VPN solution. The solution is also offered for sale in USD, CAD, NZD, AUD, SGD, CHF, EUR and GPB. SekurVPN is especially meant for privacy enthusiasts and users wanting to protect their identity from hackers. Recent data breaches in messaging applications have created a certain urgency for businesses and data privacy advocates to protect their communications from cyberattacks and identity theft through mobile and desktop devices.

SekurMessenger comes with a proprietary feature and technology called Chat-By-Invite. This feature allows a SekurMessenger user to invite via e-mail or SMS a non-SM user, or a group of non-SM users, to chat in a fully private and secure way without the recipient ever having to register to SekurMessenger or download the app. At the end of the chat, the initiator of the conversation can remotely terminate the conversation and all traces of the conversation are deleted from all users, including the recipient. SekurMessenger also eliminates many of the privacy and security risks by not requiring a phone number, which would divulge a user's phone device ID, but also by not social engineering a user's phone or computer contact list and infecting the contacts by default as well, eliminating a huge loophole in security and privacy. SekurMessenger issues each user a username and a Sekur number. The Sekur number is the contact ID a user would disclose in order for other Sekur users to be added. The service comes with a self-destruct timer and other features as well, including Sekur's proprietary VirtualVaults and HeliX technologies with all data stored in Swiss-hosted encrypted servers.

Sekur's Data privacy solutions are all hosted in Switzerland, protecting users' data from any outside data intrusion requests. In Switzerland, the right to privacy is guaranteed in Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution. The Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) of June 19, 1992 (in force since 1993), has set up a strict protection of privacy by prohibiting virtually any processing of personal data which is not expressly authorized by the data subjects. The protection is subject to the authority of the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.

Under Swiss federal law, it is a crime to publish information based on leaked secret official discussions. In 2010, the Federal Supreme Court of Switzerland found that IP addresses are personal information and that under Swiss privacy laws they may not be used to track Internet usage without the knowledge of the individuals involved.
