SNOWLINE GOLD APPOINTS RANDY SMALLWOOD TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Snowline Gold Corp. has appointed Randy Smallwood to its board of directors as an independent director, effective today. Mr. Smallwood brings further mining, corporate development and finance experience to Snowline's board. He is the non-executive chair of Wheaton Precious Metals Corp., where, as president and chief executive officer, he led the company through a period of remarkable growth from 2011 to 2026.
"We are pleased to welcome Randy to our board as a recognized builder in the gold industry," said Craig Hart, chair of Snowline's board. "His several decades of experience will bring new dimensions of expertise to our board."
"Mr. Smallwood's reputation as an entrepreneur and corporate leader in our industry is well earned, and he adds valuable perspective as Snowline continues to advance and grow," said Scott Berdahl, chief executive officer. "Importantly, his long-standing commitment to responsible development, community investment and philanthropy strongly align with the values that guide Snowline."
"I am excited about the opportunity to join the Snowline team and to help them advance the Rogue project," said Mr. Smallwood. "The Valley deposit has the potential to become one of Canada's largest gold mines and a major contributor to the Yukon economy."
Mr. Smallwood was a co-founder of Wheaton (formerly Silver Wheaton Corp.) in 2004 and served as president and chief executive officer from 2011 to March, 2026. Previously, he led project evaluation and corporate development for Wheaton River Minerals Ltd./Goldcorp and was project manager for the Golden Bear mine in Northern British Columbia from 1995 to 2000.
He remains active on the World Gold Council, having served as chair (2020 to 2023), and with the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM), where he is the incoming president-elect.
Mr. Smallwood's commitment to the community includes his support of various philanthropic endeavours with Special Olympics BC, MineralsEd BC and Mining4Life and previously the B.C. Cancer Foundation board.
Mr. Smallwood holds a geological engineering degree (1995) and an Alumni Medal of Distinction (2026) from the University of British Columbia, along with a mine engineering diploma (1992) and a distinguished alumni award (2015) from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
About Snowline Gold Corp.
Snowline Gold is a Yukon gold exploration and development company focused on advancing its 100-per-cent-owned Valley gold deposit on its flagship Rogue project, while unlocking district upside on its 360,000-hectare (3,600-square-kilometre) mineral tenure in the highly prospective yet underexplored Selwyn basin.
Valley is a large, low-strip, near-surface, greater-than-one-gram-per-tonne-gold bulk-tonnage gold system hosting an open MRE (mineral resource estimate) of 7.94 million ounces gold at 1.21 grams per tonne gold measured and indicated (in 204.0 million tonnes) and an additional 890,000 ounces gold inferred at 0.62 gram per tonne gold (in 44.5 million tonnes), with a cut-off grade of 0.3 gram per tonne gold. Results of a PEA (preliminary economic assessment) for Valley suggest the potential to support a long-life mining operation with a strong production profile and low production costs. The MRE and PEA are detailed in the recent technical report for Rogue, prepared in accordance with NI 43-101 (as defined below) standards, entitled "Independent Preliminary Economic Assessment for the Rogue Project Yukon, Canada," dated Aug. 27, 2025, with an effective date of March 1, 2025, and available on SEDAR+ and the company's website. The PEA is preliminary in nature and includes inferred mineral resources that are considered too speculative geologically to have economic considerations applied to them that would enable classification as mineral reserves. There is no certainty that the results of the PEA will be realized. Work is under way on a PFS (prefeasibility study) to supersede the Valley PEA on completion, anticipated in Q1 2027.
Snowline's project portfolio sits within the prolific Tintina gold province, host to multiple million-ounce-plus gold mines and deposits across central Yukon and Alaska. The company's comprehensive first-mover position and extensive exploration database provide a distinct competitive advantage and a unique opportunity for investors to be part of multiple discoveries, the advancement of a significant gold deposit, and the creation of a new gold district.
