SEARCHLIGHT RESOURCES MOBILIZES DRILL RIG TO THE ROBINSON CREEK GOLD PROJECT

Searchlight Resources Inc. is mobilizing a diamond drill rig and geological team to the Robinson Creek gold project, located approximately 16 kilometres west of Creighton, Sask., and Flin Flon, Man.

Searchlight is mobilizing for a drill program of five diamond drill holes totalling approximately 1,000 metres that is designed to verify historic drilling and confirm gold mineralization. The company has compiled data from 70 historical drill holes (totalling 9,618 metres) from the 1940s and 1980s and has recently completed a summer surface program aimed at locating these past drill hole locations and providing data for the drill program.

The planned drilling program is intended to provide modern drill data that are part of the next step in defining a gold deposit at Robinson Creek," stated Stephen Wallace, Searchlight's chief executive officer. "Given the current gold price environment, the Robinson Creek project is becoming an increasingly important asset to Searchlight and its shareholders."

The Robinson Creek gold project consists of two claims covering 2.9 square kilometres, located approximately 15 kilometres northwest of Searchlight's Bootleg Lake gold claims. It is a structurally controlled mesothermal lode gold system comprising three gold zones -- the Vein, Bleiler and Quartz zones -- over a strike length of approximately one kilometre along the Mosher Lake shear zone.

Robinson Creek highlights:

• Initial exploration target ranges from two million to three million tonnes with grades between 1.20 grams per tonne and 1.60 grams per tonne gold; amenable to open-pit mining;
• Located 16 km west of Creighton, Sask., and Flin Flon, Man., and 15 km from Searchlight's Bootleg Lake brownfield mine site;
• Compilation of 70 historical drill holes (totalling 9,618 metres) from the 1940s and 1980s;
• Historical drill holes and geophysics outline a zone of mineralization extending at least 1,000 m along the Mosher Lake shear zone;
• Recent airborne magnetic surveys have outlined exploration potential along strike and south of the known zones;
• 60 drill holes have gold intersections greater than 1.0 g/t gold;
• 45 gold intersections have greater than 2.0 g/t gold over at least one metre;
• Multiple wide gold intersections:
  • 2.46 g/t gold over 57.60 m in DDH 81-2;
  • 7.59 g/t gold over 10.94 m in DDH HB-6;
  • 3.80 g/t gold over 21.00 m in DDH R07-1;
  • 2.15 g/t gold over 32.00 m in DDH 81-1.

Grant of options

Searchlight announces that it has granted incentive stock options to officers, directors, advisers and consultants under its stock option plan entitling them to purchase an aggregate of up to 1.1 million common shares of the company. The stock options will vest immediately and are exercisable on or before Sept. 9, 2031, at a price of 10.5 cents per share.
