Mr. Bill Frain reports
LIBERTY DEFENSE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETES TESTING AND EVALUATION AT MAJOR US COURTHOUSE AND AFFILIATED CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES
Liberty Defense Holdings Ltd.'s Hexwave system has successfully demonstrated a comprehensive detection capability for concealed metallic and non-metallic threats with minimal false alarms for deployment at courthouses and correctional facilities.
Hexwave uses millimeter wave, advanced 3-D imaging and AI (artificial intelligence) to detect concealed metallic and non-metallic threats and other prohibited items. The system allows for rapid, automated screening using a high-throughput, contactless, walkthrough portal to detect liquid, powder and plastic explosives, 3-D printed ghost guns, and other contraband.
The scenario-based testing was directed by Fitzgerald Technology Group, internationally recognized for their subject matter expertise in government security and public safety planning. "Over the course of three days at a major U.S. courthouse, we successfully demonstrated the capabilities of Hexwave to FTG, senior leadership, law enforcement and security personnel," said Liberty chief executive officer Bill Frain. "Hexwave underwent rigorous testing and consistently detected a wide range of concealed threats -- including 3-D-printed firearms, ceramic knives, detonators, tasers masked as cell phones and various forms of explosives such as liquids, gels, powders and plastics -- along with other common prohibited items. We are aligned in our commitment to ensuring the safety of both visitors and staff in correctional facilities by pro-actively preventing potential incidents."
"With the constantly evolving threat-based risk that facilities and events face today we see the advantages to the utilization of millimeter wave detection and imaging and were impressed with the capabilities of the Hexwave and its response to many of the test that we conducted," said W. Douglas Fitzgerald, president/chief executive officer, Fitzgerald Technology Group.
