LIBERTY DEFENSE SELECTED BY VIKEN DETECTION FOR PURCHASE OF 30 HEXWAVE UNITS AND DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT FOR INCREASED MARKET PENETRATION

Liberty Defense Holdings Ltd. has entered into a strategic agreement with Viken Detection, which includes the sale of 30 Hexwave units to be delivered in 2024. Payment for the first 15 units was made in advance to accelerate market penetration. Viken Detection is a global leader in threat detection and screening technologies, and is entering into a partnership to sell Hexwave into an ever-growing security screening market in the Americas.

As part of the agreement, Viken will add the Hexwave walkthrough people-screening system, which uses AI (artificial intelligence) and machine learning to seamlessly detect weapons and other threats in real-time, to its vast detection product portfolio, and established network in the United States, Canada and South America.

Viken Detection equips public safety organizations, including customs and border protection agencies, law enforcement, and security professionals with effective, safe and affordable technologies to detect and identify concealed threats. The company's innovative suite of hand-held X-ray imagers, chemical analyzers, vehicle scanners and elemental analyzers are proven and reliable in their respective markets, with thousands of units operating in the field. Viken Detection is headquartered in Burlington, Mass., inside the region's technology hub, the Boston Technology Corridor.
