Mr. Michael Michaud reports
RPX GOLD INTERSECTS 6.24 G/T GOLD OVER 19.68 METRES, EXTENDING NEAR SURFACE HIGH-GRADE GOLD MINERALIZATION
RPX Gold Inc. has extended high-grade gold mineralization with open pit potential originally identified in the 2026 preliminary economic assessment (PEA). This extension was determined via its continuing 2026 drilling program at the Wawa gold project in Ontario, which returned assay results from 11 drill holes totalling 1,845 metres (m). The company continues to advance the 20,000-metre drilling program planned to support prefeasibility study (PFS) work and expects to complete the drilling program by mid-November. The results will be included in an updated mineral resource estimate (MRE) that will support a PFS, which is targeted for completion in H1 2027.
Highlights from areas with open pit potential include:
-
6.24 grams per tonne gold (g/t Au) over 19.68 m, including 50.70 g/t Au over 0.90 m in SD-26-721;
-
18.49 g/t Au over 5.67 m, including 109.00 g/t Au over 0.90 m in SD-26-714;
-
4.55 g/t Au over 5.88 m, including 24.70 g/t Au over 0.54 m and 5.53 g/t Au over 3.01 m in SD-26-693.
Highlights from areas with underground potential include:
-
3.15 g/t Au over 20.93 m, including 6.80 g/t Au over 6.80 m in SD-26-705;
-
6.03 g/t Au over 10.48 m including 11.25 g/t Au over 4.38 m in SD-26-718;
-
3.14 g/t Au over 18.39 m, including 14.20 g/t Au over 0.70 m and 11.51 g/t Au over 1.50 m in SD-26-719.
"Today's results, together with previously reported high-grade results in the South Pit area, indicate that tighter drill spacing continues to identify additional high-grade gold zones within the pit design," commented Michael Michaud, president and chief executive officer of RPX Gold. "These results are particularly encouraging as we evaluate opportunities to optimize the mill feed grade that could eventually be delivered to a toll mill during the initial development of the open pits.
"As we approach the completion of our PFS-related drilling program, we look forward to resuming exploration drilling on several promising targets north and south of the Jubilee deposit. Our updated geological model highlights the potential for higher-grade gold mineralization at intersections between the Jubilee shear and crosscutting structures, which will be the focus of our next phase of exploration."
2026 drilling program
The continuing 2026 20,000-metre drilling program aims to:
-
Convert inferred mineral resources to indicated mineral resources in areas associated with the PEA mine plan (see news release dated Feb. 18, 2026);
-
Acquire additional data for grade validation, as well as metallurgical and geotechnical purposes in key areas of the underground mine plan, including the 65 and Pango areas, identified in the PEA;
-
Conduct initial follow-up drill testing of several exploration targets identified by previous drilling in areas outside the current mineral resource;
-
Test for high-grade gold mineralization in drilling gaps within the PEA open pits;
-
Test the gap area between the North and South pits, which lack sufficient drilling to model near-surface resources.
Approximately 90 per cent of the drilling planned for the PFS has been completed.
The latest drilling continues to intersect and extend high-grade gold mineralization within the South pit outlined in the PEA, while also identifying additional mineralization in areas with open pit potential between the South and North pit. Drilling also continues to confirm gold mineralization within underground areas outlined in the PEA (Table 1).
Quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) measures
Individual drill core samples are labelled and sawn in half along a premarked cutting line. A consistent half-core sample is then placed in an individual numbered plastic sample bag that is sealed. The remaining half-core samples are kept at the company's core storage facility located on the Wawa gold project. Quarter-core duplicates are taken from certain samples to define the variability of gold distribution. Groups of samples are then placed into durable rice bags sealed with security seals to be transported by commercial carrier for analysis at Activation Laboratories Ltd. (Actlabs), Ancaster, Ont. NQ core assays are obtained by 50-gram fire-assay with a AA finish or by one-kilogram metallic screen fire assay. The one-kilogram metallic screen assay method is selected for samples anticipated to contain coarse gold and when the original fire-assay returns results greater or equal to 2.25 grams per tonne Au. The residual coarse reject portions of the samples remain in storage for a minimum 90-day period if further work or verification is needed.
As part of its QA/QC program, RPX Gold inserts external gold standards (low to high grade), and blanks every 20 samples and routinely inserts blanks immediately after samples with visible gold. Quarter core duplicates are routinely inserted to evaluate the natural variability of gold mineralization. Assay certificates are sent to at least three members of the senior management team, and they are directly accessible from the WebLIMS portal of Actlabs. Approximately 5 per cent of the pulps and coarse rejects analyzed at Actlabs are sent to Agat Laboratories in Thunder Bay for umpire testing.

About RPX Gold Inc.
RPX Gold is a gold exploration company, advancing the flagship Wawa gold project located in Northwestern Ontario, in the Michipicoten greenstone belt of Ontario, and is adjacent to several established gold-producing operations, including those operated by Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd., Alamos Gold Inc. and Hemlo Mining Corp. The Wawa gold project benefits from strong local infrastructure and excess regional mill capacity.
The company is evaluating open-pit operations designed to generate early cash flow to help finance the advancement of the underground operation. This phased approach is aimed at derisking development, accelerating the time to revenue and minimizing shareholder dilution. The approach is subject to the completion of a number of milestones before a production decision can be made, such as continued drilling and mineral resource definition, conducting additional metallurgical testwork, completing a prefeasibility study, continuing baseline studies,m as well as additional permitting and indigenous consultations, among other factors.
The Wawa gold project currently hosts mineral resources from two mineral deposits, namely the Jubilee shear and the Minto mine. The mineral resources include an indicated mineral resource of 22,909,000 tonnes grading 1.69 g/t Au containing 1,244,000 ounces Au and an inferred mineral resource of 9,951,000 tonnes grading 1.59 g/t Au containing 509,000 ounces Au, with both open-pit and underground mining potential. Gold mineralization extends to surface on a historic mining property, which supports the company's phased development strategy. Please refer to the technical report entitled "Preliminary Economic Assessment: Wawa Gold project" with an effective date of Feb. 18, 2026, which is available on SEDAR+ under the company's profile for more information.
