         ROME RESOURCES ANNOUNCES PRIVATE PLACEMENT
Rome Resources Ltd. (the "Company") wishes to announce a non-brokered private placement of up
to 3,000,000 units at $0.15 per unit for gross proceeds of up to $450,000. Each unit consists of one
share and one-half warrant, each whole warrant will entitle holder to purchase one share for $0.18
per share during the first year after the closing and $0.20 per share during the second year after the
closing. The Company has agreed to pay a finder's fee of 5% on part or all of the gross proceeds
raised.

The proceeds of the placement will be used for mineral property expenditures primarily on the La
Colorada Project, Mexico, and for general working capital purposes.

The private placement is subject to acceptance by the TSX Venture Exchange.
