TORONTO, March 14, 2014 /CNW/ - ROMARCO MINERALS INC. (TSX: R) (the "Company") announces that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
("Corps"), Charleston District released the Draft Environmental Impact
Statement ("the Draft EIS") for the Haile Gold Mine on March 13,
2014. This document is made available at www.hailegoldmineeis.com.
In addition, the Company has received notice that the upcoming public
hearing to be held on April 24, 2014 will be a coordinated, joint
meeting between the Corps and the South Carolina Department of Health
and Environmental Control ("SCDHEC"). The public hearing will receive
oral and/or written comments on the Draft EIS and also the SCDHEC Mine
Application. The Draft EIS was prepared by the Corps in cooperation
with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Catawba Indian
Nation, and SCDHEC.
The Joint meeting of the Corps and SCDHEC on April 24, 2014 will be held
in Kershaw, South Carolina.
