The National Post reports in its Thursday edition that Tim Hortons is recalling more than 25,000 colour-changing doughnut mugs because of a burn risk. The unbylined item quotes Health Canada saying the fast-food chain's pink-and-white-colour-changing doughnut mugs pose a safety hazard because they could crack or break when filled with hot liquid. As of March 10, 28 reports of cracking and breaking have been received, said Health Canada. There has been one report of a burn injury. The 16-ounce white ceramic mugs have doughnut decals printed on the front and back, pink handles and a pink interior. The doughnut decal changes colour and reveals one of four doughnut designs -- vanilla dip, honey cruller, maple butter glaze and honey dip -- when warm liquid is poured into the mug. About 25,040 of the mugs were sold across Canada from Tim Hortons stores or on-line in January and February.
