The Financial Post reports in its Wednesday edition that a member of the board of Postmedia Network Canada will be stepping into key roles after Mary Anne Lavallee, who joined Postmedia in 2014, steps down as executive vice-president, chief financial officer and chief transformation officer on Oct. 6. The unbylined item quotes Postmedia chief executive officer Andrew MacLeod saying: "The significant contributions Mary Anne has made to Postmedia's transformation cannot be overstated. We are all grateful for her commitment." Replacing Ms. Lavallee will be John Bode, a member of Postmedia's board since 2018. Mr. Bode, who will quit the board to assume the executive roles, was previously chief operating officer at Readerlink Distribution Services LLC and serves as a director for U.S. publisher The McClatchy Co. "With his deep understanding of Postmedia's capital structure, operations and strategy, John is well-equipped to seamlessly move into the role and immediately continue our transformation momentum," Mr. MacLeod said.
