Vancouver, Canada – July 30, 2026 - TheNewswire – Onco-Innovations Limited (CBOE CA: ONCO ) (OTCQB: ONNVF ) (Frankfurt: W1H , WKN: A3EKSZ ) (" Onco " or the " Company ”) is pleased to announce, further to its news release dated June 30, 2026, progress with respect to its collaborative polymer development program with Nanosoft Polymers (" Nanosoft "), including process optimization and catalyst evaluation activities aimed at improving the consistency and uniformity of the polymer used in ONC010’s nanoparticle formulation. The work forms part of the chemistry, manufacturing and controls (" CMC ") development of ONC010, the Company's lead nanoparticle-formulated Polynucleotide Kinase Phosphatase (" PNKP ") inhibitor.
A central focus of the current work is the evaluation of catalyst systems and refinement of polymer synthesis conditions and reaction parameters aimed at improving control of the polymer’s polydispersity index (" PDI "), a key measure of molecular weight uniformity. Greater control of PDI is expected to support more consistent polymer characteristics, nanoparticle formation, formulation performance and batch-to-batch manufacturing reproducibility. The ongoing program is focused on developing a robust manufacturing process for Onco's proprietary PEO-PBCL block copolymer, a key component of the nanoparticle delivery platform used in ONC010. Onco and Nanosoft are also advancing analytical characterization and scale-up activities intended to help define critical manufacturing parameters and support future good manufacturing practice (" GMP ") production and clinical development.
Since initiating the program, Nanosoft has advanced multiple technical workstreams establishing critical manufacturing parameters. Emphasis has been placed on catalyst selection and reaction optimization to improve polymer consistency while refining purification strategies and manufacturing efficiency.
" Establishing a scalable and reproducible polymer manufacturing process is fundamental to the successful further development of nanoparticle therapeutics. We are pleased with the progress Nanosoft has made in advancing the optimization of our polymer platform and believe these activities further strengthen the manufacturing foundation supporting ONC010’s future development. By investing early in process optimization and analytical development, we are working to reduce manufacturing risk while positioning the program for future clinical and commercial scalability, " stated Thomas O'Shaughnessy, Chief Executive Officer of Onco-Innovations.
The Company expects polymer process optimization, analytical characterization and scale-up activities to continue over the coming months as part of its broader CMC strategy supporting ONC010. These efforts are intended to facilitate future technology transfer, GMP manufacturing and regulatory submissions while enhancing long-term manufacturing robustness.
" Nanoparticle therapeutics require the same level of precision in polymer engineering as they do in pharmaceutical development. Building a well-characterized, reproducible polymer platform today can materially strengthen the quality of the final drug product and support a smoother path through regulatory review and clinical development, " stated Dr. Islam Mohamed, Chief Medical Officer of Onco-Innovations.
