NATURALLY SPLENDID PASSES FACILITY AUDIT FOR ANNUAL SQF CERTIFICATION

Naturally Splendid Enterprises Ltd.'s wholly owned division, Prosnack Natural Foods, has passed the annual audit of its Safe Quality Food-certified food-manufacturing facility.

The Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program is a rigorous food safety and quality program that is known by retailers, brand owners, and food service providers world-wide, for operating within some of the highest standards in the food manufacturing industry. Many large retailers in Canada and abroad insist that products sold in their stores must be manufactured in facilities with certifications such as SQF, which opens additional business opportunities to the Company.

Recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), the SQF family of food safety and quality codes are designed to meet industry, customer, and regulatory requirements for all sectors of the food supply chain, from the farm all the way to the retail stores. The SQF food safety and quality certification provides the assurance that food products manufactured for our own Company brands as well as for our contract manufacturing clients, meet the highest possible global food safety standards.

Company VP of Operations Mr. Bryan Carson reports, "We are pleased to report we have successfully passed our annual SQF audit at our food manufacturing facility in Pitt Meadows, BC. Annual SQF audits include inspections of the complete facility, standard operating procedures (SOPs), as well as safety protocols. Our extensive SOPs have never been more valuable than in the current times we find ourselves operating in. Our production team is already trained to operate within strict SOPs and have adapted seamlessly to incorporate additional safety procedures for COVID-19. Our SQF certification is validation of the integrity and safety of our products and is a significant factor driving business to Prosnack".

Prosnack continues to focus on developing and marketing nutritional, bars and bites formulated primarily with plant-based ingredients. Facilities with certifications such as our SQF designation continue to be in demand. And as consumer demands continue to increase year over year for plant-based food products, it is anticipated that the investment made into this facility will continue to drive interest and business.
