The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, March 7, edition that CIBC World Markets analyst Dean Wilkinson is sticking with his "neutral" recommendation for Northview Residential REIT. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Wilkinson gave his unit target a 75-cent trim to $17. Analysts on average target the units at $17.75. Mr. Wilkinson says in a note: "Northview Residential REIT reported an as-expected Q4/24 as it continues to work toward a more peer-like balance sheet and the transformation from a predominantly high-yield vehicle to a more staid and conservative balance sheet entity. We believe that, in time, the normalization of the REIT's leverage to be more representative of its direct peers should serve as a catalyst for continued unit price performance." The Globe reported on Dec. 21, 2023, that Mr. Wilkinson had become the first analyst to commence coverage of Northview Residential REIT, giving it a "neutral" ranking and $12 unit target. The units were then worth $11.34. The Globe reported on Nov. 19, 2024, that National Bank Financial analyst Matt Kornack had reiterated his "sector perform" recommendation for Northview Residential. The units were then worth $15.35.
