Mr. Brian Goss reports
NRED PROVIDES TECHNICAL UPDATE TO PREVIOUS WORK, IDENTIFYING MULTIPLE PRIORITY COPPER-GOLD DRILL TARGETS AT WILMAC PROJECT
NRED Intelligent Mining Inc. has provided a comprehensive technical and exploration update for its Wilmac copper-gold project in the Similkameen mining division near Princeton, B.C.
The updated technical review builds upon the previous work completed on the Wilmac project, and incorporates additional geological, geophysical, geochemical and historical exploration information across the approximately 16,078-hectare (39,729-acre) property.
The updated work, prepared by Richard T. Walker, PGeo, provides an expanded and prioritized exploration framework identifying multiple copper-gold targets recommended for future drill testing.
The technical interpretation indicates that the Wilmac project is prospective for one or more comparatively shallowly buried alkalic copper-gold porphyry centres within a multiphase Late Triassic arc system. These interpretations remain exploration-stage hypotheses requiring drill testing and do not constitute evidence of an economic mineral deposit.
Technical update highlights
- Wilmac claim block remains the highest-priority exploration area, where sampled surface copper mineralization is associated with a shallow IP system.
- Historical 2023 trench sampling at Wilmac returned copper results ranging up to 1.235 per cent and 1.670 per cent Cu, with nine selected samples averaging 0.639 per cent Cu.
- Copper-in-soil values near the Wilmac quiet/resistive target include a sample of 1,022 parts per million Cu, providing an additional layer of geochemical support.
- Untrenched high-chargeability pod cores west and southwest of the Wilmac trenches represent shallow targets at approximately 50 to 150 metres.
- Lamont claim block hosts a large chargeability-resistivity system supported by IP, AMT, soils and three-dimensional geometry.
- Trojan-Condor claim block contains a large intrusive-margin chargeability system, with historical drilling interpreted to be shallow relative to the preferred deeper target.
- The integrated data sets support a multicentre exploration hypothesis, with separate potential sulphide and resistivity systems at Wilmac, Lamont, and Trojan-Condor.
- A two-phase exploration program totalling approximately $3.13-million has been proposed, including approximately $1.31-million for phase I exploration and geophysical work and approximately $1.83-million for phase II drilling.
Wilmac -- priority drill target
Wilmac represents the company's highest-priority exploration area. The technical interpretation identifies the trench-area system as the strongest direct relationship between sampled surface copper and an underlying geophysical system on the property.
The proposed exploration program includes drilling one or more of the strongest untrenched high-chargeability cores west and southwest of the existing trenches to test whether known surface copper mineralization strengthens into the underlying geophysical targets.
A separate approximately 350- to 400-metre inclined hole is proposed through the Wilmac quiet-resistive target, designed to also enter higher-chargeability material beneath or adjacent to it.
Lamont -- large multidataset target
Ground IP and AMT surveying at Lamont has defined strong northwest-southeast-oriented elongate chargeability pods that coalesce into a broader northeastern mass.
The target is supported by multiple data sets, including IP, AMT, soil geochemistry and three-dimensional geometry. The proposed program includes oriented, inclined drilling, including at least one deeper test to approximately 500 metres.
Trojan-Condor -- deeper system to be tested
The Trojan-Condor corridor contains a large chargeability system along the northwestern margin of an interpreted magnetic complex.
Historical drilling intersected pyritic alteration and weak to locally anomalous copper mineralization, however, the holes were terminated at shallow depths relative to the preferred deeper model.
The updated exploration framework proposes testing the C1/C2 system with an inclined 450- to 550-metre hole through the chargeability core and intrusive-margin geometry, while also evaluating the potential to deepen the existing Eagle hole (WS14-004) by approximately 250 metres, where technically practical.
Established copper-gold district
The Wilmac project is situated in the Quesnellia geological terrane of Southern British Columbia, approximately 10 kilometres west of the Copper Mountain mine.
Geochemical relationships and overlapping approximately 204 to 205 Ma (million years ago) ages support interpretation of the property within the same broader Late Triassic magmatic-metallogenic province.
The company cautions that this regional geological relationship does not demonstrate physical continuity, a common intrusive system, or equivalent mineralization between Wilmac and Copper Mountain. Mineralization or resources at nearby properties are not necessarily indicative of mineralization at Wilmac.
Defined path toward drilling
The technical work provides NRED with a staged exploration strategy combining the results of targeted geophysics, geochemistry and/or drilling.
The proposed initial drill holes are designed to serve as tests of the respective geological model interpreted for each separate and distinct grid in the context of the overall model interpreted for the property. Evaluation of each drill hole will include systematic logging, multielement analysis of recovered drill core (including copper-gold plus pathfinder analysis) and magnetic susceptibility measurements, all of which are intended to further refine the three-dimensional interpretation of the property.
Management commentary
Brian Goss, president and chief executive officer of NRED Intelligent Mining, commented: "The technical work represents an important advancement for Wilmac and builds upon previous work completed on the project. By integrating additional geological, geochemical and geophysical information, we now have an increasingly refined exploration framework and a clearly prioritized portfolio of targets.
"What is particularly encouraging is that the company's highest-priority Wilmac target combines known copper mineralization at surface with multiple supporting technical data sets. The scale and geometry of the systems identified at Lamont and Trojan-Condor provide additional opportunities for systematic testing across this large property.
"With clearly defined exploration priorities and drill recommendations, NRED is positioned to advance Wilmac from target definition toward the critical next stage of testing these geological models through drilling."
Option agreement status
The Wilmac copper-gold project comprises 16,078 hectares located southwest of Princeton and approximately 10 kilometres west of Hudbay Minerals Inc.'s producing Copper Mountain mine. NRED hold an interest in the project pursuant to two option agreements concerning what are known as (1) the Wilmac and Lamont claims and (2) the Trojan-Condor corridor claims.
The company was required to make a $50,000 cash payment by Dec. 1, 2025, and a second $125,000 cash payment by Sept. 1, 2026, in order to keep the first option agreement in good standing, and was required to make a cash payment of $100,000 and to finance exploration expenditures of $100,000 on Aug. 31, 2026, to keep the second option agreement in good standing. NRED has not made any of these payments and the option agreements are currently not in good standing. The optionors of the claims comprising the project have not provided the company with notice of termination, but may do so on seven day's notice.
