The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, Oct. 4, edition that RBC Capital analyst Nelson Ng has reaffirmed his "outperformer" recommendation for Northland Power. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Ng cut his share target back by $3 to $28. Analysts on average target the shares at $35.50. Mr. Ng says in a note: "We thought achieving financial close for the Baltic Power and Hai Long offshore wind developments would be the positive catalysts needed to move the shares of Northland Power higher. However, the market shrugged off the key milestones and the shares of Northland traded lower with the rest of the renewable peers. We see limited company-specific catalysts going forward, and it could take time for the market to recognize the value of the offshore wind developments under construction. We are reducing our price target to reflect weak sentiment in the renewable energy sector." The Globe reported on May 25 that Mr. Ng had elevated his recommendation for Northland Power to "outperform" from "sector perform." The shares could then be had for $29.68. The Globe reported on Sept. 21 that iA Capital analyst Naji Baydoun had reiterated his "buy" recommendation for Northland Power when it could be had for $23.61.
