Noble Mineral drills 5.2 m of 0.66% Cu at Cere Villebon

2023-07-11 10:31 ET - News Release

Mr. H. Vance White reports

NOBLE MINERALS ENCOUNTERS SIGNIFICANT COPPER, NICKEL, PLATINUM GROUP MINERALIZATION IN DRILLING ON THE CERE VILLEBON PROPERTY, QUEBEC

Noble Mineral Exploration Inc. has provided an update on the reception of final drill core analysis results on the Cere Villebon drill program located southeast of Val d'Or, Que.:

  • Sampling of hole 1 from the Cere Villebon drill program returned analyses of 5.2 metres* of 0.66 per cent copper, 0.94 per cent nickel, 0.04 per cent cobalt, 0.25 gram per tonne platinum and 0.66 gram per tonne palladium within a 63-metre-wide* mineralized zone grading 0.24 per cent copper, 0.38 per cent nickel, 0.02 per cent cobalt, 0.11 gram per tonne platinum and 0.33 gram per tonne palladium (*true width not known at this time).
  • Sampling of hole 5, located 25 metres east of hole 1, returned 0.46 per cent copper, 0.69 per cent nickel, 0.03 per cent cobalt, 0.78 gram per tonne platinum and 1.28 grams per tonne palladium over 19 metres* within a 37-metre* zone of 0.36 per cent copper, 0.50 per cent nickel, 0.02 per cent cobalt, 0.36 gram per tonne platinum and 0.54 gram per tonne palladium (*true width not known at this time).
  • The mineralization is associated with a strong chargeability anomaly associated with a resistivity low, reflecting the sulphide mineralization encountered in the core.
  • Holes 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 showed no significant mineralization and were drilled off trend of holes 1 and 5 to test targets on other parts of the property.

Cere Villebon project

A drill program and geophysical survey have been completed on the Cere Villebon project southeast of Val d'Or, Que. The program included seven diamond drill holes for a total of 1,955 metres. Significant mineralization was encountered in holes 1 and 5 and is summarized in the attached table.

Historic drilling and resource estimates done by Groupe La Fosse Platinum Inc. on the North zone (1987) evaluated a historical resource of 421,840 tonnes grading 0.52 per cent copper, 0.72 per cent nickel and 1.08 grams per tonne combined platinum-palladium (Groupe La Fosse Platinum, 1987 annual report).

This estimate is historical in nature and non-compliant to National Instrument 43-101 mineral resources and mineral reserves standards and therefore should not be relied upon. A qualified person has not done sufficient work to classify the historical estimate as current mineral resources, and these estimates should only be considered as an indication of the mineral potential of the property.

Subsequent to the drilling, a 7.2-kilometre program of induced polarization and magnetometer survey was done in the vicinity of the diamond drilling.

Mitch Lavery, PGeo (OGQ), a qualified person as such term is defined by NI 43-101, has reviewed the Cere Villebon data disclosed in this news release, and has otherwise reviewed and approved this technical information in this news release on behalf of Noble.
