Jay Taylor, in the Sept. 20, 2011, edition of Gold, Energy & Tech Stocks, says buy Prophecy Platinum Corp., recently $3.73. This is the first time he has recommended the stock. Prophecy owns the Wellgreen nickel and platinum group metals project in the Yukon. The project contains about $53-billion in gold, PGMs, nickel, copper and cobalt. It was discovered in 1952 by Hudson Bay Mining, but the project's various operators through the years have drilled only 2.5 kilometres of a 17-kilometre strike length. There is a gravel road connecting the property to the Alaska Highway, and water is easily accessible. However, there is no good source of electricity. Mr. Taylor says the government must invest to build one. Meanwhile, investors can wait for the scoping study which Prophecy plans to complete by early 2012. Mr. Taylor says Wellgreen may become the only world-class PGM project outside Russia and South Africa. He warns that base metals prices may fall if the economy goes into deflationary depression as he expects, but he believes Prophecy could double in the next year. The company's market cap is $300-million, which is low when compared with the value of metals in Wellgreen. Buy under $5.
