DEEPMARKIT ANNOUNCES CLOSING OF FIRST TRANCHE OF PRIVATE PLACEMENT

DeepMarkit Corp. has closed the first tranche of its previously announced private placement of units.

Pursuant to the closing of the first tranche of the offering, the company issued 4,126,498 units for a price of six cents per unit, for gross proceeds of $247,589.88. Each unit comprises one common share of DeepMarkit and one common share purchase warrant. Each warrant will entitle the holder to purchase one additional common share at an exercise price of 10 cents for a period of two years from the date of issuance.

Aggregate finder's fees of $7,805 in cash were paid to certain finders in connection with the private placement: PI Financial Corp. -- $2,205; Haywood Securities Inc. -- $4,690; and Leede Jones Gable Inc. -- $910. In addition, an aggregate of 130,082 broker's warrants were issued, with each broker's warrant entitling the holder thereof to receive one common share at an exercise price of six cents for a period of one year from the date of issuance.

DeepMarkit intends to use the net proceeds of the offering for general working capital purposes.

Completion of the private placement is subject to regulatory approval, including approval of the TSX Venture Exchange. The common shares, warrants and broker's warrant issued will be subject to a four-month hold period from the date of the closing of the offering.
